If the focus of our attention is on something we believe is separate from us, then the emphasis of attention is on our “relationship” with the object observed. But, if what we observe has no point of reference, it remains an inner attitude of simple and primal wakefulness.
What it reveals is that we don’t become aware. We are innately awake and aware. This still and eternal awareness exposes the simple and clear reality that:
1. we cannot get to where we already are, yet mistakenly believe we are not.
2. We are the Still and Present Awareness that is aware of itself as being total and complete. We are not a state we enter and leave!
When I try to define Oneness, I am no longer in awareness of it.
The less of me I can be the more I get to be myself
Amen.
I always forget when I am in a place of undivided awareness. The peace speaks for itself.
