It is my experience that how I perceive something is totally reliant on where I am focused. There are days when the same experience extracts no reaction in me and others make my heart sing. Viewing the world from presence everything is fresh and new while as a separate self may escape my notice entirely. How nice when something snaps me into the magical world where we really exist.

I have been using the “slow everything down” reminder more often lately. I don’t always realize how fast everything is moving in my mind. The available freedom gets clouded with a seemingly endless stream of commentary. Slow down…

I sometimes feel ‘guilty’ for taking a nap instead of doing something. Keshav commented that a nap IS doing something.

In our daily lives, there is an idea that there is so much to do and so little time. However, it is only when we realize that peace and happiness are only "available" in the present moment that we can consciously choose to relax, and stop searching for what is only conceptual.

Rather than continuing to hunt for something that can never be lost (just overlooked), consciously, make room for real peace and joy to expose themselves – here and now.

I walk the same 25 steps from my front door to my car every time I go out, yet it is always different. Namaste.

The mind is known to wander under the weight of the assumption that the now is more of the old damn stuff. The antidote is make room of the resolve to experience this moment with fresh eyes. Careful attention to the moment is the first order of the day. Start the day with a big and knowing smile.
