Working with Distracting or Disturbing Thoughts

Notions such as “This shouldn’t be happening” or “I shouldn’t be thinking this” are examples of fundamental arguments with reality. “I am” the one creating this reality by maintaining reactionary relationships with such divisive streams of thought. Unfortunately, the more we continue to be at odds with it or continue the dissidence, the more we energize the stream. There is also a knowing that by consciously accepting fundamental mind centered arguments with life’s appearance and flow, we put our relationship with such mindless streams of thought into their proper nurturing perspective.

Let’s mindfully notice that our fundamental argument with life is with a narcissistic view of a reality that we have actually created. Therefore, we are also wise enough to notice and change our painful relationship with a fictitious sense of self we have created. It’s time to open to a Truly Loving, integrated, and also an intense feeling or informed knowing that are here to serve a deeper truth of integrated reality…

We are here to surrender to here and now, and share what we discover about the Nature of Eternal Now. You may notice that you are not really the main character in a reality that “you” created. Let us all share what we uncover together. The only “method” is simple Awareness that is a straight forward opening of the eyes, a kind of waking up as if from a dream. Thoughts coming and going, without clinging to any of them.

Awareness aware of actions, intentions, emotional states, and mental and physical reactions. Make an effort to remember to be aware. Let the body be aware of itself. Let passing thoughts, opinions and emotional states flow through without becoming slaves to them.

Doing nothing is rooted in the presence of the moment. Freedom is not something achieved. It is the simple essence of what we are when we stop identifying with what we are not. Feel free to schedule a one-on-one meditation with me featuring Zen Mindfulness and/or Shamanic Journeying. Let’s jump into the unknown together! I like to celebrate a clear view where there was once an antiquated way of looking.

Start with 10 minutes of presence while gazing at the dance of a candle flame or while opening to the dance of a favorite piece of music.

Start with 10 minutes of simple undivided present awareness, and then for 20 minutes, after a few weeks. If you have another object of attention to explore, please do so!!

Please get in touch with me for some clear guidance on a meditation that would be great if specifically designed for you. Being totally focused in the present moment in a mindful way means that attention is resting in the present, without thoughts mired in the past or future, freed from negative emotions that accompany those thoughts. Report what you notice.

I’ll meet you Here and Now.

It is my direct experience that when I am truly open to the world I’m interacting with i did not have a choice on which world was being presented. Whether that world is created internally by mind or presented by in-ordinary/ordinary reality I had not a choice on where it stemmed from. The only true choice I have in the moment is how I respond to the nature of reality. I find that focusing on my natural cadence of breathe after a few “forced”deep breaths truly allows me to surrender. Walking around with my shoes off or going for a walk for a few miles really takes the edge off.

A silenced mind opens the way for Spirit to connect and reveal so much more than what the mind could have come up with. There is a Truth that seems almost to be shrouded by the mind. Zen meditation allows the quieting of the mind for the magic of life to reveal itself.
