A full acceptance of the present moment is the gateway to freedom. As long as we are attached to being a self, however, a lot of life energy is expended on actions driven by a motive or expected outcome. The primary motive is to make the self happier and better adjusted. And, the expected outcome is filtered through what should be, should have happened, or what should happen. Please notice how much of your attention is focused on conditional acceptance. How many times every day does the word or energy of should arise? Risk feeling fulfilled without qualifications!
