“Om” – A Conscious relationship with Life

By immersing ourselves within the loving and healing vibration of “Om” chanting, we can mindfully reset and realign ourselves with our “Not-Self” beingness, intimately experiencing a profound sense of belonging. Chanting “Om” in honor of our Divine Essence isn’t just a celebratory practice; it’s embracing the essence of Self by mindfully remaining open to our innate divinity. When we chant it repeatedly, it feels like we’re tuning into the universe’s cosmic rhythm. We instinctively know and feel that we are intimately a part of everything around us.

Regularly chanting “Om” – while sitting in repose or meditation leads to the transcendence of our idea of self, allowing us to feel directly connected to everything! When chanting Om in a meditation, as we chant the syllables O-M or A-U-M, we tap into the earliest vibration of the universe. With each exhalation, the sound reverberates through our entire being, creating a deep resonance, reconnecting us to the essence of creation.

As we consciously practice Om chanting meditation, we can choose to either chant out loud or silently in our minds. The goal is to focus only on the sound and how it feels in the conscious mind and focused attention, inside and out. This helps calm our minds and stops them from jumping around with many thoughts, which can happen as pushback during meditation. I suggest playing the “Eternal Om” CD by Robert Slap that appears on YouTube as a test. Or even drum for yourself.

The lovely Om chanting meditation becomes more than just a vocal exercise; it becomes an intimate journey inward, a path to inner peace of unity and interconnectedness. Chanting 5 up to 30 minutes per session can lead to a highly beneficial and meaningful spiritual experience.

  1. The silent and musical feel of “OM” is my place of chant intimacy. Taking a sanity break by allowing and following the flow of “OM” to find its own flow is quite a blessing. My preferred silent “om” is a clearing essence that yields to the present moment.

There is an acute awareness that the feel of “self-centered” consciousness is devoid of fixed receptive behavior patterns and a highly peaceful spontaneous presence that is a clear mirror for the moment as it is. The utter ordinariness of the extraordinary “true nature of self in the moment”.

The extraordinarily Feel of the moment is a reflection of my true and divine Self – free of boundaries, expectations. Nowhere to go and no-one to be…presence of Now, surrendering to the moment.

I really love the feel of riding the “OM” of the present. Just stepping out of the way… Check it out…

  2. For me, making time in my life to recognize and celebrate my divinity is a blessing – a welcome knowing and a celebration of our Divinity. “OM” On my way home to a place that “I” can never leave…
