The ease through which I “journey” through both ordinary and non-ordinary reality, is determined by the extent that I am taking things personally here in the earth plane.
Taking Things Personally and Shamanic Journeying

Didn’t realize your Time changed at all, I’m a bit confused, but that’s normal! I’m a morning person so will enjoy earlier sunrise, not so much the Early dark of night, have to change habits to include creativity. We have our first real snow fall, funny how it plays with the psychy to switch overnight To Winter, now where are my tall winter boots?! ‘Early to bed, early to rise, makes us healthy wealthy and wise!’ Blessings one and all, we are here for each other, think I’ll do a lil quiet drumming before heading to work for the day…. Love, Namaste.
Thank you for sharing that Diane! Today's "earlier" sunrise was a real treat!
Time seems to pass very slowly yesterday! I too felt the change in time as if I was experiencing it back east ! It was a very relaxing day! I am embracing the opportunity to go deeper into the darkness as the daylight continues to become less!
I turned on the news tonight and time seemed to drag. Everyone was time traveling, and really stuck in a personal point of view. What a drag!!
Although, on the political realm, it will be interesting to feel how "woke" we are as a nation. Also, a great opportunity to address and manage our expectations.
Yesterday I felt as if I was sitting in a huge pile of life's problems. This morning I had a fresh start. Nothing has changed except I am remembering there is a broad view. There is always a bigger picture into which "problems" are are just small pieces. We will not see the truth until they have all fit into place.
Nice Catch Diane. When attention is rooted in Truth, our thoughts are no longer petty tyrants.
A favorite Buddhist quote of mine is: "Keep the view as vast as space; keep your actions as fine as flour."
Someone said the other day, with a smile on her face, “what other people think about me is none of my business.”
THINK!
I agree Keshav. When I am in a state of resistance my attention wants to include some form of baggage into the journey. However, when I am willing to let go of “my stuff†I get to go on a beautiful ride. I find the letting go of a doer to be essential in journey work.
I love shamanic journeying! However, maneuvering through subtle planes of reality is a challenge when my attention is mired in personal projections. Journeying to subtle planes of existence is distracted by the baggage I am holding onto in ordinary reality. I can mistake the search for answers with the simplicity of remaining open to true understanding – here and now!
The simplest (not easy) way to shamanic journey is: to clean up taking things personally.
