The Observer!

Virtually all of life is filtered through an observer of life, which is actually a part of mind activity that comments on, or categorizes what is observed. The division created by this false subject/object relationship creates and perpetuates a sense of separation from the whole. As a result, life is experienced as challenging and chaotic. A quiet mind is one where observations are non-relational and there is no observer; only observing. In other words, the observer is a eventually reabsorbed back into the whole. Try this: do not deny the appearance of the observer, but start noticing that all of life is new and fresh in this moment. Experience the material world without labels. Then engage all of your senses to take it in. Spend as much time as possible smelling life, hearing life, tasting life, etc. Report what is experienced!
